Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to Try Scuba Diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, our Try Scuba Diving and PADI Discover Scuba Diving is for you.
While not a scuba certification course, Try Scuba Diving and PADI Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
To sign up for a Try Scuba Diving (T-SD) or PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
You can choose from two different options. The T-SD Program to 6 Meters is guided by a Divemaster and you only receive basic informations about diving. The DSD Program to 12 Meters Depth is tought by an Instructor and you will get further information about diving and develop certain skills underwater. There is also the possibility to do a second dive after your first Experience.
To breathe underwater the for the first time – what a feeling! This is simply incomparable! You have to get used to it at first. After all, people are not made for it normally. After a few minutes of quiet breathing underwater, most participants realize how easy diving can be. To stay calm and to follow the instructions of your PADI Instructor are the first prerequisites to complete the first diving exercises of your life. If that works after a few minutes, most of the participants are really enthusiastic and never forget that first impression underwater.
You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you make an open water dive, you’ll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. Get ready to:
Because of the high demand on fun dives in the morning we decided to usually start the DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING in the afternoon (in single cases, mainly in the off-season, there is also the possibility to start in the morning, just ask us!). You can start in the afternoon, at 13:15 pm. Please contact us AT LEAST on day before, so that we can organize the course groups.
At your arrival you will be welcomed at the base by one of our local and international dive masters and instructors. We offer you an entry point to the diving theory and explain you everything important for your first dive. You also get the needed diving gear from us (if you already have a mask, diving fins, a snorkel or even a wetsuit, just bring it with you, because they will fit perfectly!).
Finally we go, we cast off! Together we bring the equipment to the boats, of course our staff helps you if you are not capable of carrying it yourself. When everybody is on the boat we get to one of our beginners’ dive sites, of which most can be reached within 20 minutes.
Have you decided for a dive from the beach we only have to carry the equipment to the water (<30m) and can start immediately.
Dives are selectively taken from a boat or from the beach. Each dive is about 40min long, and this is highly dependent on your air consumption.
Have you decided to make two dives from the boat (Two-Tank-Boat Dive) there will be a break between the dives. During this time we go to the next spot and you have time to recover you and to drink something (drinking something is very important when diving!)
Between the dives we will NOT go back to the dive center if possible.
After your return to the diving school you are kindly invited to talk about your underwater experience with a tea and cookies. Our guides help you to identify what you have seen during your dive if you like to.
